As the world evolves and technology enables new ways of working, NRL are always looking for new ways of working more effectively that will benefit our clients.
The definition of efficient yet cost-effective recruitment has changed over recent years. Disparate suppliers were replaced by PSLs which in turn were superseded by managing vendors and then neutral vendors in the quest for continuous improvement.
NRL have pioneered and developed the concept of Alliancing, where an alliance of several key trusted suppliers and the client themselves enter into a formal Alliance. They sign up to a common set of goals and an operating protocol which governs the requirements and behaviour of the alliance.
NRL have experience in providing consultancy services to support the creation of formal strategic alliances. In this way, we deliver bespoke solutions to an individual client’s requirements for both temporary and permanent recruitment services.
NRL recognised that, whilst managed vendor solutions were proving popular, they did not always achieve total client satisfaction with regard to vacancy fulfilment as there are few recruitment providers able to service all of a client’s needs.
Neutral vendor solutions achieve a greater level of vacancy fulfilment as there are potentially many supporting suppliers. But this comes at a cost, as there are inevitably two levels of fee applicable to this solution. Neutral vendor solutions also suffer due to the lack of commitment from the tiered suppliers as they don’t have access to all vacancies or client representatives and often feel that their contributions are not fully recognised or rewarded.
NRL have pioneered an innovative solution where a formal alliance is created between the client, NRL and a number of carefully selected key suppliers. The client and NRL work together to assess the client’s recruitment needs from a discipline and geographical point of view, then select additional parties as required. The recruitment businesses and agencies sign up to an operating protocol which defines the circulation, competition, fulfilment, dispute resolution and reporting criteria of the alliance. The client benefits from low cost due to the single mark-up, as well as the level of competition created between the alliance members, thus achieving a greater level of urgency and vacancy fulfilment within the supply chain.

NRL have been providing the radiography service for AMEC for several years now at the Sellafield site. I have found them to be reliable, flexible and professional in carrying out their duties in what is sometimes a very tight timescale. I look forward to carrying on this relationship in the future and would recommend them to other companies.
Amec Nuclear UK Ltd
I engaged NRL to supply a key team of operatives to support our new build CCGT project in Pembroke. NRL supplied a qualified and experienced team of operatives who have worked efficiently on our project and enabled my department to deliver our part of the project on budget. The NRL team are always available and regularly attended site to deliver team meetings and tool box talks. When it came to demobilising the site team, NRL carried this out with the minimum of fuss and no disruption to the project. NRL maintained exceptional industrial relations on the project. I highly commend them and look forward to working with them on future projects.

Jordan Nuclear Ltd
NRL provided key support to our FGD projects, supplying a lot of experienced people at short notice. The programme for delivering the FGD was extremely challenging, resulting in rapid mobilisation of significant numbers of tradespeople. NRL were able to support SEC's requests for additional resources in a co-ordinated and professional manner. Equally impressive was NRL's co-operation in the demobilisation of operatives, always within the spirit of the NAECI and adhering to employment legislation.
