Following NRL Egremont’s re-structure, the branch is hiring two new recruitment clerks who will join a three month training and development programme.
Egremont has devised an innovative get hired recruitment process to ensure that only those with the dedication, ability and aptitude to succeed will be offered a place on the programme. The process involves candidates succeeding at several different stages; a written application, a 10 minute assessment, a full day’s evaluation and interview and a four week temporary contract. Three candidates will get this far; two will successfully progress to full employment and a place on the three month scheme.
Egremont’s Business Development Consultant says the branch is looking for literary, numeracy, tenacity, the ability to work within a team, a strong work ethic, the ability to take the initiative and, essentially, the desire for a career, not just a job.
The three month training and development scheme will cover basic employment agency law, best recruitment practice, the recruitment process, candidate and customer care and an introduction to telemarketing. Methods for resourcing candidates and matching them to jobs will also be covered. Training is expected to be very much hands-on, working alongside senior recruitment consultants Rebecca Graves and Emma Bell.
“This is a big opportunity for someone looking for a career change. It’s also a good opportunity for the Egremont branch. Following the re-structure, we’re now in great shape for growth."

I engaged NRL to supply a key team of operatives to support our new build CCGT project in Pembroke. NRL supplied a qualified and experienced team of operatives who have worked efficiently on our project and enabled my department to deliver our part of the project on budget. The NRL team are always available and regularly attended site to deliver team meetings and tool box talks. When it came to demobilising the site team, NRL carried this out with the minimum of fuss and no disruption to the project. NRL maintained exceptional industrial relations on the project. I highly commend them and look forward to working with them on future projects.

NRL provided key support to our FGD projects, supplying a lot of experienced people at short notice. The programme for delivering the FGD was extremely challenging, resulting in rapid mobilisation of significant numbers of tradespeople. NRL were able to support SEC's requests for additional resources in a co-ordinated and professional manner. Equally impressive was NRL's co-operation in the demobilisation of operatives, always within the spirit of the NAECI and adhering to employment legislation.

NRL have been providing the radiography service for AMEC for several years now at the Sellafield site. I have found them to be reliable, flexible and professional in carrying out their duties in what is sometimes a very tight timescale. I look forward to carrying on this relationship in the future and would recommend them to other companies.
