New Faces at NRL Falkirk

The Falkirk branch of NRL has taken on two new people as business continues to expand for the privately owned company.

Rob Binnie joined Falkirk branch in the summer as Senior Recruitment Consultant and will focus on both contract and permanent assignments in the engineering and construction sectors.  Rob has worked for over 20 years in technical recruitment, where he has undertaken a wide array of jobs and responsibilities. He worked as a mechanical engineer before moving across to recruitment in 1989. His extensive experience will be of great value to NRL as their Falkirk branch goes from strength to strength.

Rob says: “NRL is an absolutely fantastic company to work for. Everyone in the office has been so welcoming. They’re very helpful and professional.”

Robert Fyfe joined NRL as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant having achieved an MA in History at Glasgow University.   Initially his work will be on the Trades side, recruiting skilled labour for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Robert enjoys playing golf and football on a regular basis and is due to run a half marathon in March in aid of Myeloma UK.   Robert is enjoying the office camaraderie at NRL and working hard for his first tranche of recruitment exams in December.

Says Mhairi Brown, divisional manager at NRL: “It’s great to welcome two such enthusiastic people to the team. While they’ve joined at different levels, both Rob and Robert bring much valued commitment and initiative. They are just the kind of employees we need to help us recruit the right people for some of Scotland’s most prestigious projects and companies.

Testimonials

NRL provided key support to our FGD projects, supplying a lot of experienced people at short notice. The programme for delivering the FGD was extremely challenging, resulting in rapid mobilisation of significant numbers of tradespeople. NRL were able to support SEC's requests for additional resources in a co-ordinated and professional manner. Equally impressive was NRL's co-operation in the demobilisation of operatives, always within the spirit of the NAECI and adhering to employment legislation.

SEC

NRL consistently provide high quality and cost-effective labour solutions, frequently within critical timescales. The honesty and integrity of our relationship, as well as their knowledge and experience of the Mechanical and Electrical Industry, has allowed NRL to remain one of our preferred tier one suppliers for 19 years.

Shepherd Engineering Services

Balfour Beatty Engineering Services

NRL have continued to provide a high level of service to Jordan Nuclear Ltd and have the ability to react at short notice to meet our client demands.

Jordan Nuclear Ltd

NRL have been providing the radiography service for AMEC for several years now at the Sellafield site. I have found them to be reliable, flexible and professional in carrying out their duties in what is sometimes a very tight timescale. I look forward to carrying on this relationship in the future and would recommend them to other companies.
