NRL are recruiting for a BMS Engineer to join our client in a permanent position. 
The role will support the identification, design, and measurement and verification (M&V) of energy conservation measures through BMS controls optimisation.

This role will involve the investigation of existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) and their control strategies through plantroom surveys, the review of BMS head end graphics and control strategy drawings, and the assessment of historical trends to identify energy savings opportunities through the adjustment or redesign of BMS control strategies.  It will also include supporting our M&V process liaising with clients to investigate and resolve any controls issues identified by our in-house analytics system, and integration of new projects into that system.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and self-motivated person with experience designing or modifying BMS control strategies and will have a detailed level of knowledge of at least one of the major BMS platforms which should include Tridium Niagara N4.  A high level of experience integrating HVAC plant into BMS is essential with good working knowledge of common high-level networks such as BACnet, Modbus, MBus.

Key responsibilities
• Carry out detailed plantroom surveys to identify and record key information regarding HVAC plant type, design, and state of repair,
• Carry out detailed surveys of existing BMS using head end graphics, control strategy drawings, and historical trends,
• Assess collected BMS and HVAC data and support the identification and design of controls optimisations for new and existing projects,
• Support the M&V process across our portfolio of sites and liaise with clients to resolve any controls issues identified by our in-house analytics system,
• Support the integration of new projects into our in-house analytics platform which is based within the Niagra4 framework.
• Work closely with the energy optimisation team to translate customer requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables,

Desired Skills
• A good understanding of HVAC control strategy design and operation,
• Experience integrating HVAC plant into BMS is essential, ideally experience of integration within the Tridium Niagara N4 framework,
• Skill and experience using Microsoft office applications with specific interest in Excel,
• Highly motivated with good communication skills (oral and written).
