Responsibilities:
- Manage equipment and services procurement processes in assigned Capital Projects
- Support Project Procurement Management on Class 3/4/5 projects (depending on experience) as the single point of contact for Procurement
- Manage Contractor Procurement activities, including but not limited to preparation and issue of enquiries, review of Engineering requisitions, technical and commercial bid clarifications, manage internal discipline interfaces and purchase orders for reimbursable costs according to project schedule.
- Manage Contractor payment applications for materials and services.
- Participate in development of Project Procurement Strategy that is aligned with overall Project Execution Strategy
- Participate in joint Contractor final negotiations for award.
- Manage Contractor Project Material Registry to plan and track equipment, material status and provide supplementary reporting where required
- Review and evaluate Interrogate, Contractor Bid Tab evaluations and Sole Source justifications
- Run and analyse material status reports and communicate risks and problem areas to Project Procurement Manager on regular basis
- Manage Post award Procurement activities.
- Liaise frequently with Expeditors, Inspection Leads, and Project Logistics
- Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues
- Maintain Commercial interface with Contractor/Suppliers
- Manage warranty claims, back-charges, and liquidated damages
- Work with cross-functional team to manage supplier qualification status and performance
Requirements:
- Experience in issuance and managing execution of requisitions/purchase orders for material, equipment, and services
- Self-starter, Proactive, Investigative and collaborative mindset.
- Comparable overseas PMC experience in a client-based role.
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with internal and external customers
- Strong influencing, communication and facilitative skills
- Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing strategies and procurement work processes and solutions
- Education in technical or business field
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project environment
- Accreditation from Supply Chain industry organization (i.e. MCIPS, CPSM)
- Knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice, including aspects of negotiation and contract law
- German oral and written language skills an advantage.
- Familiar with SAP and SmartPlant
- Industrial Gas or Oil and Gas industry experience
