NRL are currently recruiting for a Compliance Monitor / Inspector for work with an engineering consultancy supporting the HS2 project along the route between Birmingham & London. This is a 12 month contract position which falls within IR35.

About the role:

Our client require an inspector to work in a small team to carry out inspections/site visits of HS2 construction sites and produce daily inspection reports for our Client. The site visits will involve daily travel, (with a potential for overnight stays if required) to and from various sites along HS2 route inspecting and reporting on contractor’s compliance with operations relating to public interface, traffic management and vehicle movements to and from the site. This is specifically inspecting traffic management arrangements, road cleanliness / condition, adherence to approved routes, auditing contractor’s records of vehicle inspections. They would report as necessary to HS2 Transport Management Team.
  • Primarily the opportunity will be located around the Milton Keynes area and will involve visiting sites along the HS2 route between London and Birmingham.
  • Site hours are 8 hours a day- 5 days a week. Early starts (6am – 7am) to be expected.
  • Some specific training will be provided although some knowledge of construction operations, traffic management and environmental interface issues is beneficial.
  • Hire vehicle will be supplied for works use only – following induction period. Fuel compensated on expenses.
  • PPE supplied.
What you will need:
  • Computer literacy (word and excel) packages required.
  • Ability to be self-managed essential as lone working will be common.
  • CSCS mandatory. LANTRA / NRSWA preferable
