NRL’s client are looking to recruit a Cost Engineer to join their team in Teesside on a permanent staff basis.
This role will be responsible for reviewing and developing cost estimates for projects/turnarounds and development of the control budget from these estimates.
Main responsibilities include:
- Work with the Project Team to establish robust cost forecasts
- Monitor and report costs and perform analysis regarding deviations from the control budget
- Be a custodian for Management of Change
- Calculate monthly value of work done and forecast to complete
- Develop strong relationships with company Finance team
- Use of company Oracle system (training provided)
- Review customer invoices
- Review budget proposals for accuracy in cost and schedule
- Manpower reporting
- Work with Planning to ensure we have a realistic and accurate schedule
- Ensure the cost forecast aligns with the schedule
- Facilitate risk assessments, peer reviews, and audits as necessary
- Evaluate project risks and communicate cost exposure
- Prepare margin analysis using information from company Oracle system
- Track change orders
- Populate and peer review application for payment
- Raising requisitions for plant, materials and sub contracts as required
