Power Station Operative - No Experience Needed 

Heysham 1 Nuclear Power Station

Description

NRL are recruiting for various personnel to join us on an exciting opportunity supporting the upcoming Heysham 1 Outage. Our client are the leaders in facilities management across the EDF Nuclear sites, and outage workers will pay an important role supporting the busy power station.



The role

Ideal candidates will be expected to carry out duties on pre-planned work orders, ensuring correct standards are maintained throughout the industrial areas and to be able to take ownership of tasks and duties given by the nominated supervisors on site. 

To be successful in this role previous experience of working in a clean environment or an industrial environment would be desirable but not essential. 

Rates of pay for this role range from £10.80 to £18.90 an hour 



Main Responsibilities


The successful candidates will carry out various duties inside the Power Station which include the following: 
- Fire watching 
- Industrial Cleaning 
- Confined space guardian 
- Escorting 
- Facilities duties - delivering goods to departments and dealing with deliveries.

Good communication skills are essential when dealing with the client and other members of the site.

Various shifts patterns will be available, which include day and night shifts as well as weekends.


CTC clearance will be processed by NRL for all successful candidates months before the start of the outage. We have a dedicated team of nuclear vetting consultants that will guide you through this process.
