NRL are currently recruiting for a Lead Human Factors Practitioner on a contract basis (inside IR35) working from home to begin with a view to be based in Warrington. 

The Lead Human Factors Practitioner will be responsible for the day to day running of the Human Factors team including directing the HF engineers as required to ensure that an appropriate level of effort is provided to the engineering team to enable the project to demonstrate that Human Factors has been integrated within the design. Management/development and review of Human Factors studies.

Job Role:
  • Liaise with the Sellafield Limited Intelligent Customer to agree the full and proper discharge of duties required by the project.
  • Report to the Requirements Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure that HF reviews are planned, held, recorded and that actions are closed out.
  • Provide assistance and input to the Area teams technical and design work.
  • Involved in the reviews and inputs to the design work and document submission reviews from suppliers, vendors and contractors.
  • Originate, check and approve HF related project deliverables.
  • Comply with the requirements and maintain the HF procedure found in the project’s quality system.
  • To understand and work to the project’s time schedule.
Experience Required:
  • Lead Human Factors Engineer previously experience of working on major projects within the  Nuclear industry.
  • Will have a proven track record of successful project delivery and significant experience of large capital projects
  • Can demonstrate some years of experience in a similar or related HF role.
  • Flexible to visit other project execution offices to provide support, input and attend reviews and workshops.
  • Able to work within a JV environment, proactive and interactive.
  • Nuclear experience.
