NRL are currently recruiting on behalf of an engineering consultancy for a Lean Value Innovation Management Project Manager for work on a prestigious UK infrastructure project in London. This would be on an initial 6 month contract basis, currently remote working but offices based in Aldgate.

About the role:

Responsibilities
  • To implement and facilitate Collaborative Planning and Visual management virtual using e.g. Bim360 and analogue tools.
  • To coordinate and lead assessments related to Lean
  • To facilitate Lean training when needed
  • To support the LVMI team by project manage initiatives aiming at realising innovations and efficiencies
  • To document realised achievements within the LVMI area including documenting efficiencies
  • To engage with external stakeholders to ensure lessons learned to be used and refined across project boundaries.
  • To support initiatives, interventions, training and workshops with the purpose of delivering PCF products bid commitments and meet CPF metrics related to LVMI. This includes appropriate project administration and management as well as communication with SRO and project directors.
  • To deliver parent company programme governance requirements as required
  • To consider programme legacy and in all decision making in the same way as cost, risk and time
  • To look for ways to encourage innovative thinking around how to improve legacy benefits
  • To hold health, safety, security and welfare (HSSW) as a key programme value and to participate in the creation, development and implementation of HSSW strategies by the programme leadership team
What you will need:

Previous Experience
  • Experience with Lean and possible also Innovation Management and/or Value Management
  • An updated track record of delivering projects to time, cost quality standards within the area of Lean and development
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully working in/adapting the philosophy of a ‘One Team’ environment within an NEC contract context
  • Team oriented leader with the ability to work closely with peers; delegate, motivate and empower individuals and teams
  • Facilitation skills
  • Examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties
  • To be able to work across diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team
Skills
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to make structured, engaging and targeted presentations to a broad audience.
  • Ability to work with divers group of stakeholders
  • To influence all levels in an organisation to produce timely documents etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership
  • MS Office Suite
