Nrl are currently recruiting for a Lifting Supervisor – Hartlepool for an 8 months contract.

The successful person will need to have:

A good track record of working within a maintenance and operational environment, particularly in the field of nuclear/power generation sectors (nuclear not essential but preferred)
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong focus on safety and quality
  • A minimum of safety passport or equivalent, preferably IOSH Managing Safely
  • Be able to secure and maintain CTC security clearance.
  • Classified Worker ( Can be classified if not already)

Professional Qualifications
The individual will ideally have:
  • Level 4 diploma in controlling lifting operations to be accompanied by a valid blue card in addition to an NVQ level 3 rigger qualification.
  • Preferably 2 years site supervision leading teams of lifting personnel
  
Principal Accountabilities
  • Will report to their Engineer / Site Manager regarding site activities and programme.
  • Liaise with personnel both internal and external to the company to ensure that the requirements of all parties are executed in a safe manner and to a high standard.
  • Ensure conformance to all local client and company procedures, including the relevant legislation
  • Carrying out other duties and special projects as required and working flexibly within the Operations Group team to ensure that the current and future needs of the business are met
  • Ensure that they understand and sign onto the relevant safe systems of work associated with the task.
  • Record any problems encountered during the progress of the work and notify their line management of the details in a prompt manner.
  • To produce and review accurate, appropriate method statements, risk assessments and other safety documentation, in order to prepare work packs.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy; clean up after work each shift.
