NRL is currently recruiting on behalf of a esteemed global leader providing expertise in technical, engineering, professional and construction services for a Principal Planner on a local Nuclear site and major project.
About the role:
- The principal planner is required to support this major project.
- Subject matter expert on the Design Lifecycle and the suite of deliverables / documents required for this.
- Positive and natural communicator, ability to influence, inspire and motivate team members and the wider project arena.
- Promote a positive working relationship with all parties.
- Responsibility for setting to work of all systems, demonstrating how they integrate with each other.
- Pinpointing and Planning all interfaces for the scheduling of work.
- Liaise with the Programme and Project Management Team to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
- Robust stakeholder skills with the ability to effectively negotiate when required.
- Working alongside the Programme Manager to ensure scope changes, time and cost constraints are managed in line with the handover strategy.
- Liaison with the Programme Manager on risk mitigation.
- To consistently outline the project programme and provide direction on project process, communications & improvements.
What you will need:
- Professional qualifications required.
- Knowledge of Technical Scope on Nuclear Projects.
- Competent user of Primavera Planning Software and Microsoft Project
- Must be a resilient individual who enjoys a challenge and has a natural flair for problem solving on complex & robust deliverables.
- Proven track record of working in the Nuclear Industry.
- Customer relationship development and influencing skills.
- If no clearance held must be willing to go through the clearance process.
