NRL currently have an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a City & Guilds in Electrical Installations or a HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering to be involved in managing a wide range of small work projects. These nuclear projects range from maintenance and modifications to new build installation and is a rare opportunity to offer progression for candidates who are looking to become an effective team leader.
About the role:
Understanding and providing advice on the technical challenges faced by project works.
Expected to attain Authorised Level under the Safety Rules System of operation and hold safety documents for work to be carried out on isolated electrical or mechanical systems on station.
Technically qualified in electrical engineering discipline.
Experience with a record of delivery in a supervisory role with project team and sub-contractors.
Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches within the team.
Ability to lead a team and communicate across all levels working within performance management systems.
Understands the principles of isolation and lock off procedures in accordance with policies and procedures.
Experience of developing operational teams, focused on service delivery.
Sound understanding of H&S, Environment and QA procedures.
Experience of surveying and pricing project works.
Ability to work from electrical schematic diagrams.
Understanding of finances and working to budget constraints.
