Working with a leading engineering consultancy NRL are looking for Safety Case Assessors to work on nuclear projects based out of Warrington. These are contract opportunities (inside IR35).

The Role:
To be a senior member of a Safety Case team, supporting the Safety Case Manager (SCM) in delivering his responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, deliver and implement Safety Case documentation, appropriate to the working area, utilising the Safety Case Development Principles (SCDP) to ensure that required standards of safety, cost, quality and time are met i.e. that the documentation is Right First Time (RFT).
  • Present Safety Case documents to safety committees on behalf of the SCM (as required).
  • Utilise the Safety Case Development Principles (SCDP) to ensure that the documentation comes together to deliver a clear, fit for purpose, pragmatic and user-friendly safety case.
  • Provide high quality Safety Case advice to own working area.
  • Complete training and development activities including the production of documented evidence in line with the safety case workbook, career pathway and business requirements.
  • Deputise for the Safety Case Manager in areas where technical competence has been demonstrated.
  • Look for, use and share learning from internal and external sources and from events and good practice.
  • Identify and participate in improvement initiatives on Safety Case Process understanding and implementation in the workplace.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislative, regulatory and company policy, standards and procedures.

You will need:
  • Experience of report writing
  • Experience of applying new approaches or innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills- written and verbal
  • Ability to influence, communicate and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across a team and business area
  • Good analytical thinking skills, with experience of solving novel and possibly challenging technical issues
  • Computer literate
  • Good planning skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of resilience Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
