NRL are working on behalf of the only wireless communications provider that enables transmission of data through the water-air boundary, water column, seabed and subsea structures with their patented technology. As a result, an opportunity has arisen for a Scrum Master to work on a permanent basis in Bathgate, Scotland.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Work within our teams to coach and encourage self-organisation and understanding of Agile processes
  • Help the team identify blockers and to remove them
  • Mentor and coach, the Teams and POs in the methods to create and ensure the team have a well-refined product backlog that is well refined and present business value
  • Support product owners and development teams provide coaching where required
  • Coach and mentor, a quality first mindset across the organisation and continue to grow a culture of quality
  • Work with senior leadership at all levels
  • Ensure that all team events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
  • Build good relationships between different roles and departments in the organisation and work to deliver business initiatives together
  • Work with metrics to assess agile maturity and identify improvements at the team and organisational level
  • Increase transparency of team’s work, share team successes, risks, and issues
  • Create a culture of openness, cooperation, and transparency
 

Requirements:
  • Understanding of the Agile principles
  • Assertive and able to deal with strong differences of opinion whilst balancing the agile principles
  • Experience in leading or being part of the Agile transformation
  • Knowledge of different Agile frameworks and scaled solutions incl. Hybrid concepts
  • Supporting Product Owners in methods of product and sprint goal definitions
  • Training Product Management teams in creating product roadmaps
  • Facilitating product workshops to support productive and efficient scoping exercises for the group
  • Knowledge and ideally practical experience of applying Lean principles
  • Communication skills to consolidate different roles and aim for conclusions and decisions
  • Experience working with the hardware, software and applications
  • Experience supporting non-technical roles in shifting into agile ways of working
  • Facilitation skills, coaching and mentoring skills
