Senior Process Engineer – Oil & Gas – Teesside 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop process designs from Client requirements specifications
  • Develop process models and simulations using Aspen HYSYS and Flowmaster
  • Generating process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams to meet the process requirements.
  • Prepare materials / energy balance calculations
  • Prepare engineering specifications, data sheets, and other documentation as required.
  • Participate in HAZOP / HAZAN process
  • Ensure designs comply with CDM Regulations.
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of the designs.
  • Development of overall concepts and specifications for engineering designs.
  • Supervising and allocating work to designers and ensuring compliance to the company Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures.
  • Ensure the delivery of engineering scope of work to the agreed project programme and within budgeted man hours.
  • Ensuring weekly updating of the company engineering progress sheets.
  • Checking and approving specifications, calculations, and drawings.
  • Liaising with other engineering disciplines to ensure interdisciplinary compatibility on projects.
  • Liaising with Clients on engineering contracts and design services.
  • Attend meeting internal and external (Client/3rd Party) as required for work scopes.
  • Working to quality plan and IMS procedures.
  • Preparation of company man hour estimates and technical proposals.
What you will need: 
  • A process function specialist, with experience of team management, a deep understanding and broad experience in process design with at least ten years’ experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status with membership of an appropriate industry body.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a related engineering subject.
  • In depth knowledge of process design in the Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Industries
  • Familiar with Process Engineering Software - Aspen HYSYS, Flowmaster
  • Capability to develop process designs from initial feasibility through to FEED
  • Working knowledge of the HAZOP / HAZID, Safety Case, SIL and CIL assessment processes
  • HAZOP Chair capability desirable
  • In depth knowledge of Engineering Practices, Codes and Regulations related to particular process design requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of design specifications and standards used in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & gas Industries.
  • Knowledge of current HSE Legislation and Regulations.
  • Good grasp of each stage of the project execution process.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
