NRL’s client based in Renfrew is looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer – Test & Equipment, on a permanent basis.

About the role:

  • The Manufacturing Test & Equipment Qualification function within our Asset Management business area provide consultancy services to the Oil & Gas, Process, Nuclear and Renewables sectors in the field of Testing & Equipment Qualification. Within this function we have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team in Renfrew.

In this role you’ll have accountabilities such as:

  • Providing leadership and governance to all Manufacturing projects within Asset Management
  • Demonstrating expertise in the field of manufacturing in support of the Asset Management’s activities. To interpret client project requirements and specify delivery strategy and implement and govern this strategy to fulfil contractual agreements.
  • Technical leadership of manufacturing contracts including the creation of all documentation packs required to successfully complete the project requirements.

This will be achieved through:

  • Leading of manufacturing projects.
  • Preparation of all Control of Work and project documentation including Safe Systems of Work.
  • Leading toolbox talks and project kick offs.
  • Liaison with other Asset Management functions as required to ensure timely completion of projects by SQEP personnel.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing principles and requirements and ensuring that these are governed and implemented to provide final product meeting all QHSE requirements
  • Preparation of tenders
  • Project manage and lead Manufacturing programmes either as self-standing contracts or as part of a project team within a wider Asset Management product platform
  • Production of all Quality documentation required to control and govern manufacturing processes
  • Supply chain management.
  • Seamless interaction with clear and regular communication with multiple cross company functions required to successfully manufacture products.
  • Regular customer updates, schedule oversight and financial control of projects
  • Provide technical support to Asset Management Contracts
  • Write reports and technical documents

What you will need?

  • In order to be considered for this role we are looking for someone with relevant structural design experience within a relevant sector, who is proficient in the use of instrumentation and data acquisition and has a thorough understanding of the mechanical engineering principals and their application within a component testing environment. All of this experience is supported by a BEng or MEng degree in a relevant discipline.
