NRL are looking to speak with a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position with a leading Irish Developer & Contractor. The Ideal candidate will have worked with a building contractor or housing developer in Ireland or the UK previously.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Reporting on the overall performance of the project.
  • Monthly CVR and Accrual reporting on the project.
  • Specific analysis on the preliminaries performance on the project.
  • Detailed analysis and approval of outgoing sub-contractor and supplier payment.
  • Understand the respective obligations and responsibilities of the parties to the contracts and provide direction to site colleagues.
  • Responsible with the Contracts Manager for the smooth administration of contracts from start up to final account.
  • Attending and contributing to site start up meetings with site management to ensure the requirements of the contract are understood.
  • Attending and contributing to site meetings as required.
  • Attending and contributing to sub-contractor meetings as required.
  • Responsible for obtaining all collateral warranties from sub-contractors and make them aware from the outset of their obligations under the contract.
  • Ensuring relevant monthly reports are issued in the agreed format and within the timeframe agreed.
  • Responsible for managing overall costs on the project and any variations.
  • Responsible for procurement of all sub-contract packages.
  • Responsible for overall managing of sub-contract packages and signing off sub-contract payments.
  • Responsible for preparation and submission of monthly valuations.
  • Responsible for managing the progress and project accounts of the project and preparation of cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensuring financial position of construction budgets is accurately reported and controlled effectively.
  • Monthly CVR Reports and Accruals.
  • Implementing any Value engineering proposals.
  • Ongoing reviews of Sub contractor and supplier performance.
  • Attend site progress and cost meetings and contributing to the resolution of commercial contract and construction problems.
  • Responsible to the client, working with the design team & responsible for the sub-contractors.       
  • Growing and maintaining relationships with all customers both internal and external.
Role Requirements:
  • Ideally the candidate will have experience on High Rise Residential projects.
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience is required along with the relevant qualifications.
