NRL are currently recruiting Slingers at Faslane Naval Base on an Ongoing contract basis.
Candidates must be competent in the general use of lifting equipment and tools related to the role, such as the use of fixed gantry (overhead traveller) cranes, spreader bars, plate clamps and chain blocks.
Candidates Must hold at least ONE of the following qualifications in:
ECITB Level 3 NVQ in Moving Constructive/Engineering loads
OPITO Level 3 Slinger/Signaller
NPORS N402 - Slinger/Signaller
CPCS A40 Blue Card
Candidates must hold SC Security Clearance that has been active and in use in the last 12 months.
You will also need to have experience in the following areas:
Ability to read and interpret lifting instructions.
Proven track record of completing work to time, cost and quality parameters.
Ideally will have worked in the marine industry with experience although other relevant experience will be considered
