NRL are currently recruiting for a Solutions Architect, on behalf of our client, a leading energy and services provider. This will be fully remote on a full-time permanent position.

 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Use case mapping- Generate visual models of cross-system integration to provide value and meets client requirements
  • Network / Security Model - Building a model that defines the rules for communications between systems and networks, in line with client standards
  • High Level Integration Design - Writing a design document that incorporates all system interfaces against the use cases and scoped deliverables
  • Integration / Documentation Review- Ensuring the issued documentation is sufficient and provides required functions
  • Provide the primary architectural focal point for the project
  • Interface with the business sponsors and all other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the solution meets project requirements and is aligned to the business direction.
  • Provide ownership of technical solutions as well as options with documented impacts and benefits.
  • Define the infrastructure hardware and software requirements
  • Prepare and submit detailed documentation on the solution to the It Design and Service Authority for review and approval
  • Collaborate with the project manager to develop detailed project plans.
  • Define system requirements, based on the business needs balanced against other constraints such as cost and timing. Ensuring that this set of high level requirements is consistent, complete, correct and operationally defined.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders involved in gathering requirements and responses.
  • Support the Sales team in development of the financial and commercial proposition
  • Assist in in converting requirements into a further level of detail for solution proposals and subsequent implementation
  • Interpret and map business requirements to solution functionalities
  • Assist project delivery teams to understand the detail around implementation and to become involved in that delivery when required
Role Requirements:
  • Technical Literacy – BD Solution architects + BMS possess a high level of technical literacy, which helps them determine how a software solution fits into an organization’s current structure and assists in the development of specifications and requirements
  • Analytical Assessment – This role requires a high level of analysis since solution architects need to examine a client’s current systems and determine overall project needs and scope
  • Schedule Management – Solution architects need extensive time management skills to determine development schedules and milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time
  • Team Leadership – Because solution architects oversee and direct development teams throughout the project development lifecycle, experience with team leadership and motivation is essential
  • Communication – In this role, solution architects are responsible for communicating with team members, clients, and external vendors, so they exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-Solving – Solution architects need to be excellent problem-solvers, able to quickly change direction based on updated client specifications or system limitations
  • Proven BD Sales & Technical Solution Architecture + BMS experience
  • Educated to degree level, higher degree desirable.
  • Possesses a broad knowledge of solution areas such as transformation and migration, security, business analysis, applications, integration and infrastructure, service management, including trends in the current marketplace and understands how these interact to arrive at a solution.
  • Expert in using architectural principles and frameworks.
  • Significant experience of adopting and enforcing governance and assurance methods
  • Experience of designing & implementing solutions as part of multi-stream change programmes.
  • Experience of IOT
  • Passionate, creative, and collaborative
  • Highly analytical with experience solving complex problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong technical abilities, with experience with data science products preferred
