Teesside is a large urban area with a population of 345,000 people. It is located in Northeast England and covers a large geographical area which includes Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees and Hartlepool along with further surrounding boroughs and towns.
The engineering sector has been traditionally strong in Teesside with the steel, chemical and energy industries playing a key role in the local manufacturing sector.
Transport in and around Teesside is very good. You have a direct link with the M1 motorway which means travel times to places like Middlesbrough, Durham, Newcastle/Gateshead, Sunderland and London is quick.
