Social Value Report

At the heart of the NRL Group is a commitment to creating positive change for our people, communities and the planet. In 2025, colleagues continued to deliver meaningful initiatives - from mentoring and STEM outreach to volunteering, charity support and environmental action. These actions reflect the values we live by. As we share this year’s social value report, we’re proud to highlight the partnerships, progress and real impact made across the regions and sectors we support.

Supporting our communities

Supporting our communities continues to be an important part of life at NRL, with colleagues contributing through growing initiatives including STEM outreach work and local employability support.

We’re passionate about supporting the communities we work in, whether that’s sponsoring local award programmes that highlight everyone that’s great about the region, to support charities to drive vital donations where they’re needed most.

Supporting our people

At the NRL Group, our people remain at the centre of everything we do, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where colleagues feel supported, encouraged and able to thrive. In 2025, this included continued investment in development opportunities, recognition programmes and wellbeing support - from expanding our network of Mental Health First Aiders to being named across multiple UK’s Best Workplaces™ lists.

We also strengthened our focus on equity, diversity and inclusion through new candidate insight and continued our long standing support for Armed Forces personnel as they transition into civilian careers. Whether supporting colleagues already within our teams or those we engage across our wider workforce, we’re proud to champion an environment where people feel valued and able to progress.

Our Culture

I’m delighted to see our second social value report come together, which contains even more examples of giving back to our communities, our people and our planet. This includes initiatives we have invested in to ensure we’re providing the best support to our colleagues and contractor workforce as we can, as well as the impact our teams are making through their outreach and community work.

Background Shape

Supporting our planet

Whether we’re reducing the environmental impact of our own operations or supporting clients as they advance global net zero projects, protecting the planet remains a core focus for the NRL Group.

Our UK and international teams work with leading engineering companies to support energy transition projects across the globe that are bringing us closer to net zero. From developing innovative workforce solutions that ensure they can scale their operations overseas, to our contracting teams who manage upgrade work on wind turbines across the globe to make them more carbon efficient, we’re always on-hand to help ensure plans remain on track.
