Building Fabric Maintainer 📍 Heysham 2 Power Station

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Building Fabric Maintainer to support ongoing works at Heysham 2 Power Station. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing the general building fabric across site, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.

💷 £18.51 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
🕒 Full-time | 6 Month initial Contract working Monday–Friday 
📅 Start: ASAP (Subject to obtaining CTC Clearance)  

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general building fabric maintenance and repairs
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, painting & decorating tasks
  • Repairing doors, flooring, walls, ceilings and fixtures
  • Conduct routine inspections and report defects
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a fabric maintenance / handyman / multi-skilled role
  • Strong all-round building maintenance skills (carpentry, plumbing, decorating etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain CTC Clearance (essential). NRL will sponsor the successful individual for clearance. You will be required to obtain and pay for a DBS check as part of this process. 
  • Must live within commuting distance of Heysham
  • NVQ L3 Qualification in related discipline
