CAD Designer

Summary

Join our client’s dynamic design and engineering team as a CAD Designer in West Cumbria. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit, BIM or Navisworks, who thrive on producing accurate technical drawings and models for complex interior fit-out and building projects. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work on high‑profile projects with a market‑leading global organisation.

Hourly Rate: £33.00 to £35.00 per hour (PAYE).
Assistance on travel expenses is available (subject to review)

Based in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Some hybrid working is available

Client Overview

Our client is a global specialist in interior fit‑out and building solutions. With a wealth of experience delivering innovative projects worldwide, they are committed to providing industry-leading products and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop buildable, practical solutions for interior systems.
  • Coordinate designs with architects, structural, and MEP consultants.
  • Support project teams to ensure design compliance and technical accuracy.
  • Contribute to successful delivery of interior and envelope works on major projects.
Must-have Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
  • Experience using Revit or Navisworks or BIM
  • Background in civil, architectural, structural, mechanical.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Previous experience with any of the following: ceilings, dry lining, partition walls, encasements or façade interfaces.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective communication.
Nice-to-have:
  • HND/Degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • CAD certification.
