We’re looking for an experienced CE&I Engineer to support an ongoing project based in Cumbria. This role would suit someone confident in planning, coordinating and delivering CE&I design work in line with engineering standards and project requirements. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical outputs meet quality and safety standards throughout all stages of delivery.

Location and Working Pattern
Cumbria – full-time, on-site role with site attendance required as part of project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate CE&I design activities and associated technical documentation.
  • Produce and review design drawings and deliverables in line with project standards.
  • Collaborate with site and construction teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Attend site as required to support safe and effective project execution.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices and junior engineers.
  • Ensure all engineering activity complies with relevant quality, safety and environmental requirements.
Must‑have Requirements

  • Proven experience in CE&I or electrical engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Amtech.
  • Strong technical documentation and report‑writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
  • Willingness to attend site and operate from the project office as required.
Nice‑to‑have Skills

  • Site‑based experience working within industrial or regulated environments.
  • Experience in emergency lighting design.
