Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take overall responsibility for managing financial and contractual performance on major construction projects in Enfield. This is a key leadership role, providing strategic oversight of all commercial activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage commercial strategy for assigned projects, ensuring robust risk control and accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee procurement, subcontract negotiations, and the management of contractual relationships
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with contract terms and company governance requirements
  • Lead cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering to maximise profitability
  • Provide clear commercial advice and reports to senior stakeholders and project teams
  • Identify opportunities and manage risks to protect or enhance project outcomes
  • Mentor and support the commercial team, driving best practice and high performance
Must-have Requirements
  • Significant commercial management experience within construction or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of mainstream contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT)
  • Excellent financial control, reporting, and forecasting skills
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience of managing stakeholders at senior levels
