Overview

Concept Project Manager

Seeking an experienced Concept Project Manager to lead early-phase project development for a major deepwater asset. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Concept Identification and Concept Selection activities, ensuring technical integrity, stakeholder alignment, and delivery of high-quality conceptual solutions.

This position requires a strong background in deepwater facilities, particularly FPSO developments, and a solid track record working on technically complex, high-CO₂ offshore fields. Experience on BP projects is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full Concept Identification and Concept Selection phases for deepwater development projects.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and evaluate concept options.
  • Ensure concepts meet safety, operability, regulatory, and cost requirements.
  • Drive project schedules, deliverables, and reporting throughout the concept phase.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal technical authorities.
  • Provide strategic input to guide decision-making for deepwater FPSO developments.
  • Manage risks, assumptions, and uncertainties associated with concept definition.
  • Prepare and present concept development documentation and executive-level reports.
Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in Concept Identification and Concept Selection within the energy sector.
  • Deepwater FPSO experience, preferably involving projects offshore Brazil.
  • Experience working on fields with high CO₂ content and the associated technical challenges.
  • BP project experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintain alignment on concept strategy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach.
Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to work four days per week in the Leatherhead office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
