Job Title Configuration Engineer
Summary We are currently recruiting for a Configuration Engineer to support a major nuclear power project, based in Bristol with a hybrid working pattern. This role is suited to candidates with strong configuration management experience who can ensure alignment between design and construction while maintaining compliance with UK nuclear regulations. Salary £51,000 per annum plus company benefits.
Location and Working Pattern Bristol – hybrid working pattern offered.
Client Overview Our client is a global leader delivering complex projects in highly regulated sectors, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to major infrastructure and energy developments.
Responsibilities- Act as a primary point of contact for configuration management processes.
- Coordinate configuration activities across multiple stakeholders and support design handovers.
- Ensure compliance with configuration management processes throughout the project.
- Support management of design changes, open points, and technical interfaces.
- Monitor and steer end-to-end configuration activities across the lifecycle.
- Analyse technical data and maintain accurate configuration records and systems.
- Develop and maintain data-driven approaches for configuration control.
- Identify opportunities for process, system, and procedural improvements.
Must-have Requirements- Engineering or technical background with the ability to analyse technical documents.
- Knowledge of configuration management principles.
- Understanding of engineering requirements, quality processes, and CDM regulations.
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
- Nuclear industry experience, including familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions.
- Ability to track progress, manage priorities, and escalate issues effectively.
Nice-to-have Skills- Knowledge of EPR technology or nuclear power plant design.
- Experience implementing and improving processes within a regulated environment.
- Awareness of budget and schedule constraints in complex projects.
