Job Title Data Architect – 6 Month Contract

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join an external project on a 6-month contract. This hybrid role will be based from Glasgow, Perth, or Aberdeen and is ideal for someone with strong data architecture expertise who can design and implement scalable solutions aligned with long-term strategies.

Location and Working Pattern
Hybrid working, with time spent onsite in Glasgow, Perth, or Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve data domain architectures to support business activities and long-term goals.
• Design data system structures and assess the business impact of proposed changes, supporting prioritisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, translating business needs into clear data requirements.
• Ensure project designs align with overall data architecture, identifying and resolving issues early.
• Work closely with application and integration teams to deliver reliable, standard-compliant solutions.
• Drive improvements in data structure, management, and sharing to support quality and interoperability.

Must-have Requirements

• Proven experience in data architecture or data modelling, delivering scalable solutions.
• Strong understanding of data integration and data exchange in complex environments.
• Ability to think strategically, linking data decisions to business objectives.
• Confidence liaising with stakeholders and explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret strategic plans and improve data flows, integration, and quality.
