Role: Electrical Inspector
Location: Sellafield, Cumbria
Hours: 38 hours per week
Duration: 12 months+
Rate: £45.00- £50.00 per hour (Inside IR35)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Inspector to join a long-term project at
Sellafield. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical inspection, testing and quality assurance, ensuring installations meet client requirements, specifications and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and ensure compliance with client requirements and project deliverables.
- Carry out on and off-site electrical inspections.
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Review Delivery Partner and Sub-Contractor proposals and installations.
- Work to BS, EN, site-specific standards and relevant legislation.
- Liaise with Project Management, clients, Delivery Partners and Sub-Contractors.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support.
- Conduct and/or witness required electrical testing and assess test results.
- Identify issues, recommend modifications and witness retesting where required.
- Verify and qualify final installations.
- Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Carry out Supplier/Sub-Contractor surveillance.
- Review and approve CE&I LTR documentation and LTR packs, ensuring inspection and test certificates are complete and correctly collated.
Experience & Skills
- Qualified Electrical discipline background.
- Relevant Electrical qualifications, ideally Degree level.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven electrical inspection and testing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Good planning, organisational and computer skills.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practice.
- Nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
