We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major EPC company on a key project in North Wales. This role would suit someone who is highly skilled in electrical testing and commissioning, with a strong understanding of industry standards and safety compliance. Location and Working Pattern
North Wales – site-based role, full time.


Client Overview
Our client is a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) company delivering large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and beyond. They are recognised for their technical expertise and strong commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.


Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee electrical commissioning activities on assigned projects.
• Prepare and execute commissioning plans and procedures in line with project requirements.
• Conduct functional and performance testing of electrical systems and equipment.
• Verify and interpret technical documentation including schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Identify, report and resolve electrical system faults during commissioning.
• Produce accurate commissioning reports and maintain all associated documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulatory obligations.
• Liaise with project teams to support handover and project milestones.

Must-have Requirements

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent).
• Proven experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and standards (e.g. BS7671, IEC).
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents accurately.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent reporting and communication abilities.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience within the power, energy or large infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with commissioning documentation and quality systems.
• Knowledge of control and instrumentation interface requirements.
• HV authorisation or COMPEX certification advantageous.
