Electrician

Job Title Electrician – Commercial Project (Shrewsbury)
Summary We’re looking for experienced Electricians to work on a commercial project based in Shrewsbury. This is a contract role with an immediate start and the potential to extend beyond the initial duration. Ideal for skilled electricians holding a Gold JIB card and IPAF certification.
Salary

• CIS:
  • £25.00 per hour – first 37.5 hours (Mon–Fri)
  • £32.50 per hour – overtime midweek & Saturdays (first 6 hours)
  • £40.00 per hour – Saturdays after 6 hours & Sundays
• Lodge allowance: £53.40 per day worked (for those living over 55 miles away and physically lodging)

Location and Working Pattern

• Shrewsbury
• On-site
• Hours: Mon–Thu 07:30–18:00, Fri 07:30–12:30 (45.5 hours per week)
• Potential overtime until 19:00 and weekend work starting in summer

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations on a commercial site
• Carry out wiring and containment tasks to specification
• Install and work with metal conduit systems
• Ensure work complies with all safety and testing standards
• Coordinate effectively with the project team to meet deadlines

Must-have Requirements

• Valid Gold JIB ECS card
• IPAF certification
• Proven experience in commercial electrical work
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience on large commercial installation projects
• Understanding of advanced containment systems
