Job Title Lead Process Engineer
Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Process Engineer to join a major engineering project in Ireland on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in process design and technical leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects in a highly collaborative environment.

Ireland – On-site, full-time.

Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise the development of process design for assigned projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams throughout project development stages.
- Apply process design criteria, guidelines and contract requirements across all phases of engineering.
- Prepare and review process flow diagrams, ensuring clarity, operability and safety compliance.
- Develop detailed equipment datasheets and ensure compatibility with process design.
- Prepare instrumentation and control system process data, establishing control philosophies.
- Conduct calculations and technical studies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
- Review and approve vendor data, bid tabulations and specifications to maintain design integrity.
- Ensure all designs prioritise plant safety and operability, addressing any identified risks.
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Process Engineer in large-scale engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, flow diagrams and equipment specifications.
- Experience preparing equipment datasheets and process calculations.
- Familiarity with control systems and safety requirements within process engineering.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Nice-to-have Skills- Prior experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical sectors.
- Familiarity with licensor interactions and design evaluation processes.
- Competency with industry design software such as Aspen HYSYS or similar tools.
