Painters – Nuclear Projects 

 

Summary

NRL urgently requires experienced Painters to join long-term nuclear projects in West Cumbria. This opportunity is ideal for qualified trades professionals who are looking for secure, ongoing work in a highly regulated environment.

The role includes excellent pay under the CIJC agreement and additional benefits for non-local candidates. 

 

Salary 

£16.40 per hour (plus overtime opportunities) – paid in line with CIJC agreement. 

 

Location and Working Pattern

• Location: West Cumbria
• Working pattern: 5-day working week, with potential overtime
• Must hold or be eligible for SC clearance
• Full-time, on-site role

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating duties as required by project specifications
• Apply specialist coatings and finishes to surfaces
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming where necessary
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Complete work efficiently to agreed timescales
• Report progress and any issues to supervisors as required

 

Must-have Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent relevant qualifications)
• Valid CSCS card
• IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent certification)
• Experience in industrial or commercial painting
• Ability to obtain SC clearance

 

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience working on nuclear or highly regulated sites
• Additional safety or trade-related certifications
