Senior Project Planner – Cramlington (contract until March 2028) - OUTSIDE IR35

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Planner to support major engineering projects in the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare sectors. This role is ideal for someone who values precision, collaboration and delivering successful outcomes in highly regulated environments.

Location and Working Pattern:
Based on site in Cramlington.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager in delivering engineering projects to agreed standards and timescales.
  • Liaise with project teams to define and meet programme requirements.
  • Develop and monitor tender, design, construction and commissioning programmes.
  • Produce and analyse Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and S‑curve reports.
  • Forecast and address potential issues to maintain progress and performance.
  • Manage procurement schedules and monitor subcontractor and supplier deliverables.
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure client satisfaction and effective communication.
  • Prepare lookahead reports and close‑out programmes to ensure efficient project handover.
Must‑have Requirements:
  • Minimum HNC qualification in Building Services or Building Studies.
  • Proficiency in MS Project (2003 or later).
  • Experience with programme management, progress reporting and EVA.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors, ideally with cleanroom or laboratory projects.
  • IT‑literate and experienced with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Understanding of safety and quality procedures in construction environments.
Nice‑to‑have Skills:
  • Familiarity with Suretrak or Primavera software.
  • Knowledge of full turnkey project delivery.
  • Appreciation of design principles to support seamless construction execution.
