Senior Site Manager (Civils)

Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the site delivery of civil engineering works on a major construction scheme in Enfield. This is a key role for someone with a solid background in civils who can manage site activities efficiently, ensuring safety, quality, and programme requirements are consistently achieved.

Our client is a leading construction organisation, known for successfully delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects to rigorous industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site civil works, supervising teams and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
• Monitor construction progress against programme and implement corrective action when necessary
• Oversee quality control processes and ensure works meet specification and contractual requirements
• Manage site logistics, resources, and plant to maintain productivity and schedule
• Provide regular updates, reports, and site documentation for project leadership
• Support risk management and drive continuous improvement across site operations

Must-have Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering projects
• Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors safely and effectively
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, structures, and associated civil works
• SMSTS certification and relevant health & safety qualifications
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach
