Job Title Site Manager
Summary We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee works on substation projects across Scotland. This role is well-suited to professionals with a strong background in transmission and distribution who enjoy managing site activities and ensuring project success.
Salary £450–£550 per day CIS
Location and Working Pattern Various locations across Scotland with site-based work required.
Client Overview Our client is a leading provider in the Transmissionand Distribution sector, delivering projects that are key to maintaining and improving network infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day site operations on substation projects
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to maintain productivity
- Plan and monitor project schedules and milestones
- Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
- Liaise with project teams to resolve technical or operational issues
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are met
Must-have Requirements- Valid SPEN authorisations for substation work
- SMSTS certification
- Proven experience managing substation projects
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders professionally
Nice-to-have Skills- Experience with National Grid or DNO projects
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
