Summary We’re looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to lead welding activities and drive continuous improvement across site operations. Location and Working Pattern On-site | 39 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate welding activities across the site
• Act as the Responsible Welding Coordinator to ensure compliance with standards
• Develop, implement, and improve the site-wide welding management system
• Investigate welding defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical support to production and engineering teams
• Create and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
• Contribute to FMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Change processes

Must-have Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (BEng/BSc)
• Certified International/European Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE)
• Prior experience in a similar Welding Engineer role
• Background in Engineering, Oil & Gas, or Renewables sectors
• Strong knowledge of welding systems and processes
• Experience with manufacturing environments using large-scale equipment and semi-automated welding technologies
• Specialist knowledge of Weld Procedure Specifications
• Practical experience with welding techniques including:
  • FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
  • GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
  • Submerged Arc Welding
• Understanding of FMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Change processes
• Working knowledge of ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience in developing advanced welding technologies
• Exposure to continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
