Summary Join our client as a Welding Inspector based in Seascale, Cumbria. This role involves supporting onsite activities and ensuring welding, installation and testing comply with quality and safety standards. Location and Working Pattern Seascale, Cumbria – Site-based role

Client Overview Our client operates within the engineering sector, providing specialist support to complex projects to ensure quality and compliance across all stages of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site and off-site inspections, producing accurate surveillance reports.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection documentation.
• Monitor installation activities to ensure adherence to project procedures and client requirements.
• Conduct and witness inspections and testing in line with ITPs and relevant standards.
• Review and support completion of Lifetime Records (LTRs) and quality documentation.
• Verify materials against drawings, specifications and supporting documents.
• Identify defects or non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
• Liaise closely with project, engineering, quality, client and subcontractor teams.
• Support supplier and subcontractor surveillance, reviewing inspection and test certification.

Must-have Requirements

• PCN Level 2 qualification MPI, DPI
• CSWIP 3.1 (minimum)
• Proven experience in welding inspection and quality assurance
• Knowledge of ITPs, LTRs, technical drawings and quality control documentation
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
