Our Middlesbrough based Business Development Manager Matt Telling is delighted to be lending his support to the High Tide Foundation.
The independent charity works with local young people in schools and colleges in the Tees Valley area through a dedicated work experience and careers programme – including working in partnership with Speakers for School to deliver industry insight days.
The current situation has meant the two charities have had to take this initiative online, to deliver virtual sessions with students, helping to ensure they’re still able to access the support they need.
Sessions are designed to help young people in the area connect with business people, whilst gaining invaluable insight into the world of work.
In support of this, Matt will be taking part in a virtual insight day on 3rd March, alongside other local businesses for local secondary school children. The interactive session will provide insight into how to establish and market a business, with Matt providing advice around the use of social media in the world of work.

Experiences aim to provide insight to inspire young people to set career goals by opening doors to future industries and employers.
To date the foundation has engaged with 6,500 students, spending over 3,850 days connecting them with local businesses through virtual placements and workplace experiences. 150 businesses of all shapes and sizes have supported the foundation to ensure these important experiences can be realised.
The programmes are provided free of charge to schools and colleges, with local businesses also giving their time for free.
