Technical recruitment company NRL Limited is once again on the lookout for local candidates to support the next statutory outage on Heysham Power Station, as part of their continued partnership with ENGIE.

The Heysham based recruitment team are now inviting anyone interested in securing local temporary work, to register with them to progress their outage application.

Statutory outage programmes are a regular activity at the power station, with Heysham B next in line for a safety-led shut down to allow for essential maintenance. Whilst some roles require engineering skills, the support work on site does not – with Domestic and Industrial Operative positions available with full training. Following successful interview, mandatory security clearance and safety training, work will start on site Early May and is expected to last 2 months.

ENGIE’s Site General Manager Gareth Manning welcomes the local recruitment drive:

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with NRL to provide these local job opportunities on the next outage programme on Heysham B.

We’ve worked with the team supporting the power station for over 7 years now, so they have a great first-hand knowledge of the staffing resource needed to safely deliver our statutory outage programmes. Working together we’re looking forward to giving local residents the opportunity to experience working inside the power station.”
