Summary

Our client is looking for a remote BMS Software Applications Engineer.

Responsibilities

There are three key aspects to the role which the successful candidate will demonstrate strong credentials in;

  • Product Fundamentals – Bringing passion and experience to ensure each of the delivery fundamentals are understood, scheduled and delivered effectively.

  • Passion for standardisation  efficiency – Desire to ensure operations run as efficiently as possible

  • Strong care for professional standards – Consistently high standards are a base expectation.

Main Roles and responsibilities

  • Develop standardised graphics and libraries for key BMS and IoT plant (including HVAC, Mechanical, intelligent lighting etc to deliver client value

  • Analyse and edit existing computer applications to improve functionality

  • Remodel and adapt applications as needed to optimise performance

  • Install applications and confirm proper communication between equipment and systems

  • Become a technical specialist alongside a team of colleagues to define best in class operating procedures

  • Create and present application prototypes

  • Collaborate with engineering and programming departments

  • Contribute to new project proposals and delivery/completion/commissioning

  • Maintain positive client relationships

  • Accurately report progress to the Project lead(s)


Requirements

Experience and skills

  • You'll have experience working with key BMS head ends (including Trend IQVision, Tridium etc) within the BEMS & Building Controls industries in the UK marketplace (1 - 3 years minimum).

  • Excellent communication skills and report writing are essential to maintain strong relationships with all team members and customers.

  • You’ll have great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines.

  • Ability to think laterally and creatively to develop innovative solutions to challenges and identify opportunities for improvement and advantage.

Qualifications

  • A recognised construction qualification / training within the building (HVAC, M&E, lighting, IoT) industry

  • Albeit character is key!

Licences

UK Driving Licence - required to enable travel to remote project sites not accessible by public transport.
