Our client is one of the world’s largest providers of engineering, technical & professional services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear & defence with a leading edge in Cyber Security.

A vacancy exists for a Cyber Security CE&I Design Engineer to deliver specialist packages of design work for the nuclear design intelligent customer based in Cumbria, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the most significant & innovative Nuclear Cyber Security facilities in the UK.

Key skills / strengths:
  • Must have relevant experience, including related project cyber security and design experience within the Nuclear sector.
  • To be responsible for the delivery of fit-for-purpose cyber security, engineering projects or services using established technologies and methods. 
  • High level of understanding of Cyber Security and its applications.
  • Strong background in Design, Control, Electrical & Instrumentation.
  • Recognises the importance of nuclear safety and security and how Engineering Design contributes to this. 
  • Awareness and understanding of key regulations, government laws and standards for the nuclear industry.   
  • Supply Chain involvement, demonstrating understanding of delivered designs
  • Maintaining and development of design intent during project lifecycle
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Degree or HNC Qualified within CE&I / Systems / Software engineering combined with relevant experience.

Associate member of a Professional Institution (or equivalent for appropriate profession), actively pursuing Professional Registration with a recognised body (with substantial evidence)

BPSS  or SC Security Clearance (if no clearance held must be willing to go through clearance process)
