Electrical Designer Engineer

I am recruiting for an Electrical Designer Engineer in London to work on the Piccadilly Line Upgrade project to prepare electrical concept designs for Northfields and Cockfosters depots within the track environment external to the maintenance sheds. Hybrid role, 6-month contract. Hourly rate based on experience.

To include CMS routing between all switch rooms and substations and interface with the maintenance sheds.

Project Role Expectations including but not limited to:

  • Clear understanding of CDM Principal Designer responsibilities and CDM awareness commensurate the role being undertaken e.g Design Manager, Lead designers, checkers, CDM awareness at other levels

  • Experience and domain knowledge of LU and desirable to know about LU depot upgrades

  • Lead designers and checkers desirable to have Charted status

  • Experience of having previously carried out lead design roles on similar size or complexity programmes in LU or similar environments and experience of leading discipline designs

  • Understanding of relevant LU standards, S1538 Assurance requirements, relevant UK regulations for the role/discipline and TFL Pathway Management system and its required products for a concept design

  • It is desirable to have existing CSCS cards and approved LU access training for depots

  • Design managers desirable to have demonstrable experience of managing large and multidisciplined design organisations
