Nrl are currently recruiting for an Instrument Engineer – on a contract basis for one of our large clients based in Warrington

Description:
Responsible for delivery of design & engineering for the A400 instrumentation, working as part of a small EC&I team. Will be responsible for production of design documentation, vendor liaison, as well as checking the work of other engineers & designers, as required.

Qualifications:
HNC/D, with 5 years’ experience of field instrument selection and installation design, in highly regulated industries. Minimum.
Degree qualified, chartered. Preferred.

Experience:
Extensive experience of the specification and selection of field instrumentation in the process industry, preferable powder handling.
Extensive experience of the design for installation of field instruments, including, but not limited to process connection, electrical connection, pneumatic connection, positioning of instruments for optimum measurement. Instrumentation documentation e.g. Electrical Hook Ups, Process Hook Ups, JB Schedules, Installation details, interrogation of P&ID, etc.
Checking and or review of deliverables produced by in house designers and supply chain.
Specification of and review of local control cubicles (Control System and MCCs by others)
Specification using instrument data sheets.
Supply chain (Vendor) support
Experience of nuclear projects is preferred
Experience of working with a client organisation to ensure a collaborative approach to design
