NRL are looking for Safety Case Assessors to work with some of our nuclear clients in the Warrington area. These are contract or permanent roles and are inside IR35.

About the opportunity:

The role of the Safety Case Assessor is to provide safety assessment advice and supporting documentation to all areas of the client business in a fit for purpose, proportionate manner in line with the expectations set in the client Safety Case Process arrangements. 

Proactively seeking and sharing relevant learning, as well as identifying and implementing potential improvement opportunities are expectations of the role.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver fit for purpose and proportionate safety assessment advice and formal documentation which is in line with the expectations of the client Safety Case Process arrangements.

  • Support the Safety Case team in the development, implementation, maintenance, and review of the Safety Case.

  • Ensure that the Safety Case delivered is clear and user friendly for all stakeholders.

  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines to support safety case development activities for the facility

  • Facilitate communication between relevant stakeholders

  • Support engagements with Regulatory bodies and other external stakeholders for the associated facility Safety Case.

  • Identify and participate in improvement initiatives on Safety Case Process and implementation in the workplace.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory/ company policies.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Degree (or equivalent)

  • Experience of applying new approaches or innovative solutions.

  • Previous experience in operations, engineering, technical disciplines or in a support team for an operational plant.

  • Knowledge of the relevant Site Licence Conditions. (advantageous)
