The Role:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this key role would form part of the Senior Management Team. The main responsibility of the role is the management of Sales and Estimating with an aim to develop the department, generating the maximum number of profitable sales and ensuring it meets the business’ strategic objectives.
There will be an expectation to increase customer acquisition through new markets, contributing to market share growth, give business direction and contribute to the overall performance of the business.
The role of the Sales Director has full P&L responsibility for implementing sales strategies and corresponding input into business plans to drive growth in sales, profitability, and cash generation. Providing budgets and forecasts and taking a positive active role in shaping the business strategy utilising/generating USPs is a key part of this role.
Part of the role will be to develop the Sales Team in line with business organisational development requirements, particularly regarding capabilities/competencies and values/behaviours.
You will need:
Significant experience of leading with a Sales and Marketing Strategy is crucial and it is essential that the person has strong sales experience with a commercial and/or industrial bias. Significant affinity and knowledge of the engineering business-specialised markets, its technologies, services, and products across the range of industry applications is necessary, with nuclear knowledge being an advantage.
