E&I Quantity Surveyor


Summary
We’re seeking an experienced E&I Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile pharmaceutical project in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a contract role starting at 12 months, with the potential to extend for several years, offering stability on a long-term programme. Ideal for professionals with strong pharmaceutical experience looking to work on a major project in Europe.


Location and Working Pattern
Frankfurt, Germany – On-site role. Candidates must have the right to work in Germany or hold an EU passport.


Client Overview
Our client is a leading global engineering organisation, delivering complex industrial projects with a focus on quality and safety. They are involved in delivering large-scale pharmaceutical programmes across Europe.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed capital cost estimates
  • Assist with tendering procedures and establish contract arrangements
  • Assemble and develop tender packages, including pricing documents and Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
  • Manage the entire tender process with key stakeholders
  • Review and evaluate tender submissions through to recommendation stage
  • Conduct clarifications and negotiations with bidders
  • Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations
  • Support contract agreement and finalisation activities
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement procedures and governance requirements
  • Liaise closely with design teams to ensure accurate information for tendering
  • Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the process
  • Prepare interim valuations and monthly cost reports
  • Attend client and contractor meetings
  • Negotiate and agree on variations, assess contract claims, and conclude final accounts
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails during procurement and cost control phases

Must-have Requirements
  • Proven experience as an E&I Quantity Surveyor within pharmaceutical projects
  • Right to work in Germany
  • European passport (for freedom of movement within the EU)
