An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Document Controller to join the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) project in Oxford, Oxfordshire. A key requirement for this role is proven, hands-on experience using Asite, ensuring you can work independently from day one. Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain project documentation within the Asite Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Upload, track, distribute and archive documentation in accordance with project procedures.
  • Control document workflows, approvals, transmittals and distribution matrices.
  • Provide support to project teams with document management processes and resolve queries.
  • Monitor document status and ensure timely completion of approval cycles.
  • Maintain accurate document registers and generate reporting metrics.
  • Liaise closely with engineering, commercial, design and construction teams to maintain compliance.
  • Support multiple stakeholders to ensure all document control requirements are met.

Must-have Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller on major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience using Asite (non-negotiable).
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE).
  • Strong understanding of document control processes and best practice.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-have Skills
  • Previous experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of information management standards and documentation processes.
