We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Dublin, Ireland, on a 12-month contract. Our client is a global engineering and project solutions leader, delivering innovative and sustainable designs across multiple sectors.


Responsibilities

• Organise, assign, and delegate engineering and design tasks to deliver construction documents in collaboration with the project team.
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet objectives.
• Coordinate and collaborate in real time across disciplines for integrated designs.
• Take responsible charge for electrical design accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Analyse and design advanced building systems, including:
  • Medium and low-voltage power systems
  • Lighting, grounding, and process heating systems
  • Standby generation and UPS systems for critical power needs
• Conduct site selection and due diligence activities.
• Perform field-based activities, including construction observation.
• Review construction submittals for compliance with design intent and contract requirements.
• Mentor and guide project electrical engineers and designers as needed.

 Requirements

• Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ engineering design experience for building electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of IEC and local building/specialty codes.
• Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken.

Nice-to-have Skills

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in electrical design for buildings.
• Extensive experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facility design.
• Knowledge of ATEX requirements.
• Understanding of semiconductor tool install and data centre design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Experience with electrical design tools such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools.
